RULES CONTATTO GP 2026

Like any proper tournament, this one also comes with rules that MUST be respected.
Take the time to read everything carefully!

BASIC RULES
Have fun. This tournament is designed so we can enjoy the weekend together and showcase our skills!
No haters. Since the goal is to have fun, anyone attempting to disturb the event will be politely asked to leave.

SIMULATOR
Velocidrone.
Participation requires the original Velocidrone simulator (€20).
It is the best racing simulator available!

WHERE TO WATCH LIVE
The entire tournament will be streamed live on the Twitch channel ATTACCOFPV.

REGISTRATION RULES
Registration is FREE.

Fill out the registration form (you can access it directly from the link provided).

Registration closes on Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM.

All fields must be completed with accurate information, otherwise you may be excluded.

To stay updated in real time, we strongly recommend joining the Telegram group.

If the automatic confirmation email ends up in spam, mark it as “not spam”: important info will be sent from that address. The Telegram group, however, remains the fastest and most reliable source of updates.

TOURNAMENT DATES
TAPPA 1: Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 18:00

TAPPA 2: Sunday, January 18th 2026 at 18:00

TAPPA 3: Sunday, January 25th 2026 at 18:00

FINAL: Sunday, January 25th 2026, immediately after the TAPPA 3

A dinner break will take place each day from 20:00 to approximately 21:20.

GENERAL RULES (APPLY TO EVERY DAY)
All decisions are made by the race committee, which reserves the right to modify anything during the tournament—e.g. restarting a race only in case of radio connection issues or similar disruptions.

Shortly before the live broadcast starts, the heat assignments* will be published in the Telegram group. Only the order of the heats should be considered; exact times cannot be guaranteed due to technical reasons.

All races will run in single-class mode. PID and RATE settings may be freely adjusted by each pilot.

Tracks for each round will be revealed one week in advance, after the end of the previous live broadcast.

All tracks are available on the dedicated web page.

The track for the 1st round will be revealed on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 14:00.

WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND A ROUND (TAPPA)?
If a pilot cannot attend one or more rounds, it’s not a problem. They simply won’t earn points for the missed day.
After the third round, the pilots with the highest total points in each category will advance to the finals, where attendance at the exact time of the race becomes mandatory.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR THE FINAL
After the first round, a target time will be established. Pilots will then be divided into three categories***:

FTR – Amateur Category

For pilots who do not reach the target time. Everyone deserves fun, so this category ensures that all beginners can compete!

FMR – Intermediate Category

For pilots who meet or beat the target time. Expect epic battles… and epic fails! Not for the faint-hearted.

FCR – Pro Category

The top tier. Created on February 4th 2024, this category is home to the true “aliens” of the simulator. If you’re here, you’re blazing fast.

During the three rounds, no pilot is eliminated, but points are awarded based on placement:

1. Weekly Poll (“Best Player”)

A weekly poll runs on our website from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 15:00.
Each user can vote for up to two pilots per category, once per week.
Points awarded:

1st: 4 points
2nd: 2 points
3rd: 1 point

2. Live Poll During Each Broadcast

A second poll takes place live on Twitch.
Each viewer can vote for one pilot total (across all categories).
Points awarded:

1st: 5 points
2nd: 3 points
3rd: 2 points
4th: 1 points

3. Holeshot Points

Based on fastest pass through the first gate.
Top 5 per category earn: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points.

TIME ATTACK
The three rounds use the Time Attack format.
Each pilot flies on the designated track once, for 5 minutes.
Only the best lap time is recorded.

DRONE TO USE
No fixed drone model is required: any 5-inch setup is allowed.
The race committee will not consider possible issues related to your drone choice.
The recommended setup is the Fox 5″, but the choice is entirely yours.

THE RACE FORMAT
TAPPA 1 (Jan 11, 2026 – 18:00 GMT+1)

Track revealed on January 3 at 14:00
10 pilots per heat, Time Attack mode
At the end of the live broadcast, the target time dividing the categories*** will be announced
Categories may contain different numbers of pilots

TAPPA 2 (Jan 18, 2026 – 18:00 GMT+1)

Track revealed on January 11 at the end of the live
10 pilots per heat, Time Attack mode

TAPPA 3 (Jan 25, 2026 – 18:00 GMT+1)

Track revealed on January 18 at the end of the live
10 pilots per heat, Time Attack mode

FINALS (Jan 25, 2026 – after Round 3)

The final will be an Italian-style tournament (round-robin), divided by categories***.

If both pilots crash at the same gate and lap: 1 point each
Gate numbering is displayed in-game, ensuring no mistakes.

Each heat features 2 pilots

Each race consists of 3 laps
Scoring:

Winner (or the pilot who crashes closer to the finish line): 3 points

Loser (or the one who crashes farther from the finish): 0 points

HOW TO PRACTICE ON THE TRACKS
Tracks are revealed each Sunday after the live broadcast of the previous round.
The first track is already online!

To practice:

Practice in Single Player or Multiplayer
During the official race, a private lobby named “CONTATTO GP” will be created.
Follow the Twitch live and enter the lobby only when your heat is called.

Open Velocidrone

Go to Track Editor → Download Track

Enter creator name: ilpino._

Enter track name in this format:
“Round Name” CONTATTO GP 2026
Example: “TAPPA 1 CONTATTO GP 2026”

Download and select the track

INTERVIEW RULES (SECTION CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED)
Time permitting, pilots may be invited for post-race interviews during the live stream.
Requirements:

Camera cannot be used for logistical reasons
Please ensure your microphone works and is detected by your browser.

*If you have schedule conflicts, email us and we’ll do our best to help. Requests sent only a few hours before the live will be harder to manage. Once heats are published, they cannot be modified except for technical issues or last-minute emergencies.

***The number of categories and pilots may be adjusted after registration closes and/or within 2 days after the TAPPA 1 (FIRST ROUND). Target times will be set accordingly. Adjustments depend on the number and skill level of participants, ensuring fun and fairness for everyone.
